@martins6590: The intro is just awesonme! Minifigs are indeed sub par, I had such high hopes...
@kapcorbricks: I've built a smaller, 4 wing ornithopter from the movie with similar mechanism and also noticed how important it is for wings to be heavier on the outside (when they were perfectly balanced, they performed badly). Perhaps same issue here.
@Jayneflakes: Although I doubt that Dune will get the fanbase of Lego Star Wars, it is wonderful to see the saga get some Lego love. I would love this model in my collection, but with Millennium Falcons, Razor Crests, AT-ATs and too many other Star Wars ships, I am out of room!
@vdgjolly: For me it is the same with the minifigure of Paul. It resembles more the Paul from the 80s movie.
@princejaiswal6487: thanks bro for reviewing this mighty technic set with Icons Style ,This set definitely demands for Review style
@cos-dr1um: “Cinematic”
@cr4sh1: For the wing flutter function you’re holding it too far forward, if you’d watch the initial reveal videos you put your thumb on the rear of the mechanism not the front as you’ve done.
@brickchef8282: 15:00 this is what annoys me on so many sets, as someone startet buildign in the late 80s i dont get exactly why so many pins and axels have to have colours. i get that some complex mechanisms from bigger technic sets are easyer to build with this help but on all display pieces its lost and totaly unnecessary given the fact that most barts are still made and available in nearly every colour, at least the basic ones white and black so no need for blue/red/yellow in this set at all
@peterpolus5272: Maan I love you intros? this one, Rivendell and the midi Executor are my favourite, awesome music and shots!
@Ayden767: I am so sorry about your job, I guess these past few months have not been the best for you. But all of your subscribers and us here watching your videos support you, as we will do anything to support you and keep these videos up and rolling. Great review as always, keep it up!
@msk6003: Paul Atreides figure looks like Seong Gi-hun in squid game.
@CrazyChemistPL: I'm pretty sure you are pressing the wing flutter actuator too fast. It requires certain rythm, if you do it slightly slower, the effect should be much better, although the front wings have greater movement indeed, but that's just a byproduct of the mechnism. For something that doesn't use rubber bands (or even cogs), I think it is an acceptable tradeoff.
To me this set is great, it reminds me a lot of the old 90s Technic where you build System compatible more or less skeletal frame, decorated it with System bricks from the outside and filled the inside with intricate mechanisms, much better than the current style of studless frames and fairings with next to none System bricks. This is a great blend of System and Technic. And, as complex as it is, the Technic mechanisms aren't as mind boggling as for example Airbus Helicopter from last year. Plus, whenever there's particularly extensive Technic section, they tend to switch gears and give you some System assembly next. I think the accuracy is quite good, I don't think they could've done much better with the cockpit shape, while keeping the openable doors. The biggest point of contention are of course wing roots, but it would've been hard to decorate that area better while still keeping the functionality and I love the functionality, it is a great stress reliever for adults.
The exposed studs and Technic makes this set not hide its LEGO nature and I actually appreciate it - it is like LEGO of the times past, when I first fell in love with it. Sure, this is probably largely nostalgia speaking, but to me it was easily one of the best LEGO experiences since I came back to it 2 years ago after a break of 16 years.

@Kinegos: Extremely good production value. I love the shot selection and the way you framed your video, but you really should do live narration watching a video like this with never ending music and subtitles is awful.
@user-ul6oo2um8p: I hate to say that but I am afraid there could be something wrong with your build. I've finished mine, and the flapping mechanism works flawlessly with the backside wings also flapping happily.
During the building process I was not sure if everything was correct because testing this function in an early stage just shows tiny movements. But what I noticed was that at that time the backside wing attachments always had larger movement than the ones on the front. Now having the model completed and the wings attached the front ones flap more prominently.
I hope you will find the time and have the nerves to recheck the build to get the mechanism fixed. It's such a wonderful design and deserves it ;)

@RCmies: I have seen other reviews where the rear wings move more. Weird.
@WizardOfOss: I'm not much of a Dune fan (only played the PC Game back in the early 90s....) but I do consider buying this set. It just looks so cool. I honestly don't really mind the Technic stuff , at least not if everything had just been grey or black. All that color puke though......such a shame.
@antonio19gp: Did the cat eat the hamsters?
@p4ndasr0ck: Hope there's more dune sets coming with the release of the movie
@0bsidianPrime: I could care less about the minifigs, I'm just here for the dragonfly ornithopter XD
@uberknarf1: Great review! I think your description of this set is entirely fair. It reflects the fact that Dune fans will likely be attracted to it as a collectible, and others might not find enough to make it worth the price. I say this as a happy buyer, albeit one who loves the latest Dune movies.
