Acts 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
We must test everything we are taught for biblical accuracy
Isa 8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
II Tim 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
II Peter 1:19-21 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
If anyone teaches anything that is contrary to what the bible says, then there is a good chance that person is a false prophet. Certainly a lying preacher.

@vincentmwangi1101: I have heard many people people speaking out in you about what will happen in some the countries in world even in Africa. yet people in the media especially YouTube this they bring messages when bad things happen if bad prophecy was and they don't know whether the person is a true prophet or false.This has confused me and made me feel that this people who are saying prophecy need a test just as God told Ezekiel in the valley of borns. We need to know clearly who this people are.

@jasonborn867: You should consider doing a piece on the Baptist preacher William Miller who also misled his followers into believing it was the end times. The danger is many people blindly accept religious persuasion especially when things like eternal rewards are offered. People are easily bribed, unfortinately, which is precisely why cults exist.
