@patrickhall6253: under five vies baby, we are back.
@starsnmuffins: shaka and attila really spicing this game up something fierce!
@TheBooban: The AI always beat me with wonders. But it’s cheating. It didn’t dedicate all those turns. Just restart a save and suddenly it doesn’t beat you. Wasting all that time was just too much.
@Christophee1987: If the AI proposes to trade for one of your luxuries and you don't trust the number, just hover over it and EUI will tell you the true number in addition to your current deals.
@stevesmith4600: I agree with you about Standard speed being too fast, but my preference was Marathon. However, that's unsuitable for YouTube and streaming, plus the end game turtling can becoming very boring at that speed.
@user-rx2ur5el9p: I'm currently trying out a game on Epic Speed instead of Standard for the first time. I like it way, way, more overall, but I've noticed the game is also way easier on Epic Speed. I'm currently playing King Difficulty, but I modified the .xml file to make it so that the AI Civs don't get too many bonuses like free techs or maintenance-free units, because I find that annoying and not fun to play against, especially when they use their free units to blanket the map in an infinite tidal wave of Camel Archers or whatever.
Does anyone have any tips for how to make the game a little more challenging without swinging too far in the other direction and making the AIs annoyingly OP? I'm trying to find a middle ground where I'm not wiping the floor with every other Civ, but I'm not completely getting my ass kicked, either.

@fishleaf18: So there is the one oil tile 5 tiles west of Nuku Hiva, which you can get a lot sooner if you buy the ocean tile west of the city by the fish. I assume if the city border prioritizes the fish, the oil should come sometime after (or can be generaled in the future if you expand to the fish tile). Maybe even with the autocracy tenant 100% more strategic resource amount, you could get 14 oil from the 1 tile. But yeah regardless it might not happen before the game ends, curious if it will though.
