@Oryon7: This comparison is extremely close, but if you pause at various frames you can point out MULTIPLE instances where the Switch 2 version has factually/objectively better image quality.
Things that are easier to spot:
- Single strands of hair are more defined.
- Details on fine objects like Barrett's jacket zipper tracks
- Barrett's sunglasses has better reflection, even showing his eye and reflective eris beneath the transparency, where as the PS5 image isn't resolving as cleanly.
- Observe edges, and line within textured material. A bit sharper on Switch 2.
Now, I'm not sure whether this is due to the quality of the videos, or the hardware itself, but it is what it is. The fact that people are trying to pretend that this isn't impressive is funny AF.
This is a console that will be pulling like 7-10w in most portable games, compared to a 180 w beast. If this console wasn't operating at a high performance per watt ratio, these comparisons wouldn't even be close.
The haters are free to compare an expensive ROG Ally, and watch it get slapped around by this "unimpressive" device with "old tech."

@ukaszp2333: Nothing new, it also runs and looks great on Steam Deck because it's a PS4 game at it's core. Rebirth is gonna be hilarious tho.
@mrhobs: Why does Switch 2 sometimes look like 30fps, but then sometimes its really smooth anyway? Is it like... 40fps or something? Or targeting 60 but falling below most of the time?
Also I'm tired of 3rd party games always stuck at 30fps, and its just disappointing to think even after this pretty significant power boost and 120fps capabilities, we'll still have to go a whole 'nother generation with 30fps games being the norm, not the exception.
That said, this game looks pretty nice on Switch 2... if they can at least give us 40fps, I might be able to play it without being distracted and thinking about the experience I could be having elsewhere... (I don't play on the go a whole lot, so that advantage only helps so much...)
