@nightsyrkahcum: Fun fact: Balrogs had no wings; the movie scene caused quite a controversy among the 'trve' Tolkien fans ?
@farrattalex: Good video! Bad set.
Question to the biologists amongst the commentors: Do Balrogs actually have wings?

@rexcadral3468: I agree, the balrog looks too skinny. Also, If you're going to use brick color to simulate lighting effects, the balrog himself should be dark red, orange & yellow. In the movie he's never pure black. His skin appears to have burning embers all through it, particularly in this scene. He's much more interesting from a texture perspective than what they've achieved here. The whole set feels spindly, compared to the rock & stone of the movie set.
@Thinginator: The face of the balrog looks off to me. The print looks great, but the shape and proportions are wrong. The balrog's head is supposed to look more like that of a bull, yet they've made his face completely flat here for whatever reason, and made his jaws comically huge. This is either a caricature of a balrog or a generic big black monster, it's not a proper balrog.
@TrapMaster9215: I must say, it looks great with the Tolkien books
@PhoenixClank: I think the face of the balrog looks absolutely awful. Then again, I haven't seen the movies, only read the books, so I have nothing to compare it to. It just looks so flat! No amount of printing details is gonna change the fact that the face is just printed on two smooth slopes instead of built with bricks.
@nkende: I must agree, this definitely shouldn't cost as much as Sherlock's set. It is a pretty nice design though, but the best part has to be that it includes the Fell Beast's wings. Great, informative review Sariel!
@Lordodragonss: I love teh Balrog build, but imo Balrog + 2 figs for 35$ would sell WAY better.
@senatorchinchilla5389: The atmosphere is fantastic, although I suspect your red backlighting is doing it a lot of favors. And I love Moria's columns.
