@TheSoteriologist: There are plenty of interesting topics of investigation surrounding Chopin's music: french, hungarian, russian or mediterranean influences or whatever. Strangely, these are underrepresented here. In contrast, there doesn't seem to be a gulf wide enough to not be worth bridging in order to somehow bring to the fore connections, such as here to the national anthem, that are suitable to nourish, not Chopin's healthy love of his origin and home, but today's nationalism of a stupid kind which will make cannon fodder not only of the Polish but of all western Europe, to the benefit of transatlantic agendas. And this is not the first time I get the impression that the channel serves nationalistic sentimentality, not in service of Poland and its people, but in service of you know who: people who won't have to eat the bombs.
